Trouble with veritas V10.0, it doesn't recognize an USB external Device

Am loocking for a document or some one  that can help me, 
I had installed Veritas 10.0 and it has an upddate to 10.1,
but it doesn't recognize my USB external Device.
It's an HP StorageWoeks DAT 72 USB.
If some one could help i appreciate the help, or some one to guide me trougth.

This device is supported with Backup Exec 10d, but with following footnote:
 

 

 

The Hewlett Packard HPDAT.SYS driver v1.5.3.1 (or higher) is required for use with Backup Exec for Windows Servers. Please contact HP to acquire this driver.
