I need to cancel a backup job, it's reached 150gb and i need to get the frest tapes in the loader for tonights run, If i cancel it now will the data backed up so far be restoreable ?

Yes, anything that is written to tape can be restored as long as the tape is not damaged. As long as the files appear in the catalog/Restore Selection pane, you can restore them
That's great and answered my q. cheers Ken. I've yet to try a catalog/restore but just wanted some assurance data backed up to that point wasnt completely wasted on a cancel, otherwise id have let her run thru..
