Unable to create a selection list for a linux server with 12.5 agent installed

Hello

I have a windows 2003 media server with backup exec 12.5 installed on it (it was originally 12.0 and upgraded sometime ago to 12.5)

I have a SLES 11 server which is going to be my new filestore. I've successfully installed the backup exec linux agent to the server (taken from the 12.5 media I downloaded from Symantec) - the agent license is correctly installed on the backup server.

When I try to create a selection list of BART (the SLES Server) I get the following error message@

An error was encountered whilst attempting to browse the contents of [ROOT]. A network connection to the server could not be established.

Each server can ping and browse the other so the network connectivity is fine. Can anyone shed any light? Or offer any assistance? It's going to hold up my migration of data to the new filestore so any help would be brilliant.

If I need to get more info let me know and I'll get it

Thanks in advance folks

Cheers

Chris D.

SLES 11 is not supported by BE12.5

Refer to BE12.5 SCL http://www.symantec.com/docs/TECH62301

EDIT: BE2010 and above supports SLES 11

Eek. Thanks for that folks. I am wary of upgrading because we still run some netware 6.5 servers for identity vault, DNS etc. I thought that 2010 didn't support netware hence my reluctance to upgrade. Do you know if I'm right on that (the netware support)

Thanks in advance
