Unable to delete backup job

Hi

We have a Job which refuses to be deleted - its a simple eject job that was set-up a few days ago. If another job is created to do the same thing, it works and then auto deletes.

When manually trying to remove this job, we get the following error:

Title: Backup Exec Error
Text: Unable to delete because object is being used by another.


Any pointers would be appreicated.

Hello,

Do you see the job in job monitor?

Please try stopping and restarting the services.
If the job does not get deleted try restarting the services.

The job is displayed under job monitor, this is where we are trying to delete it from.

The services have been restarted, the server has also been restarted - but the job remains and still refuses to be removed.

Any additional advice appreciated.

We have now performed the advise given but it has made no difference whatsoever.

Any other ideas?

Please run a repair installation and try rebooting the server and verify the result.

What is the error that you get while deleting the job?

Hello,

You may refer to the following technote for resolution of this issue.
However please note that in that case you would loose all media set information ,jobs etc and you would have to start with a fresh database.
