Unable to install DLO Agent

Hi everybody.

We used the backupExec 10.0. Since we installed the sp3 patch, we are unable to install Dlo anymore.
So I upgraded to 10.d as i saw in the forum.
I am still unable to setup dlo.
I tried to delete the DLo directory, and made a modify/repair of the installation.
Nothing changed.

this is what i get.
I run the DLo\setup.exe
The setup is running and i get this error message in a dialog box:
"No language transorm was applied. Please run setup.exe to install this product".

BackupExec 10.d running on windows 200 SP4
My workstation OS is windows XP Pro SP2.

We have a license for 100 users, and we have only about 25 users installed(they were installed before the sp3 patch on the BE 10.0)

First of all, thanks for your answer.

i modified the setup.ini file on the server, and on my pc ran the \\server\Dlo\setup.exe.
Nothing happened. The setup doesn't run at all.

If you have any other solution, i would appreciate.

except i found my DLOinstall.log

This is an extract of this huge file

Hello again.
I tried to push the installation.
the installation doesn't work.

I followed the instructions of your document.
When i try to add a remote computer, i see my domain, and all the computers.
I select one. The application ask me a username/password /domain.
I put the administrator login / password and my domain. Then i have a error message that says : "access denied".

I checked in the document /docs/269175.
My server is w2000 SP4.
My workstation is XP Pro SP2.
Firewall is disabled (in the domain, we use an harware firewall outside the domain), and file printer sharing is on.

What can i do to install DLO ???

I absolutely need to make it work.

The document you pushed me is exactly what doesn't work on my network.
Please refer to my first post !!!

If i do not receive a reply within two business days, i would assume you are not able to fix my problem, so stop selling your buggy product !!! And stop answer by link to a install note.

Hi Fabien,

Firstly: To my knowledge you are not able to push the install for the DLO agent. It has to be done at the client.

Secondly: I had the same problem with DLO after installing SP3. The only fix i found was to restore the DLO Setup.exe file to the DLOAgent share from a Backup, as you can't uninstall the SP. File date/size is 27/01/2005. 434KB

After experiencing other problems with Hot fixes from Veritas I now have Backup Exec running on a mirrored drive and always remove one drive before performing any Hot Fixes.
