Unable to install remote agent windows 2003 64-bit

Im running 10.1d SP4, I have also installed hotfix http://support.veritas.com/docs/280701. I'm executing the setupaax64.cmd from a mapped z:drive and no error, just dosbox then dissapears. Add/remove programs shows no program has been installed. I try running just the setup.exe to see what it does and it tells me this.

 "The upgrade patch cannot be installed by the Windows Installer service because the program to be upgraded may be missing, or the upgrade patch may update a different version of the program. Verify that the program to be upgraded exists on your computer and that you have the correct upgrade patch."

Other information:

This was working before, but we were just on 10.1d with no service packs. We were having porblems backing up sql2005 machines so we installed sp4 which requires a reinstall of the remote agents. So manually uninstalled all the agents and performed reinstalls. All agents installs worked on our 32-bit platforms but 64-bit machines all have this problem.

Any smart persons out there know how to fix this?

found solution, https://forums.symantec.com/syment/board/print?board.id=103&message.id=58606&page=1&format=page. just extract the exe locally using winwar on your c: then run the script.
