Unable to restore. Catalogue job returns with 0 bytes.

We are using BackupEXEC 11d on Windows 2003 R2 Standard Service Pack 1 with Sony AIT1 Tape Drives.
 
We have 2 tapes which have been used to backup the exchange information store at different times, but we are unable to restore any data from them.
 
If we try to catalogue either of the tapes, the job finishes with 0 bytes quite quickly, but the tape properties says that he has 30GB of data on it (and in the job history the last time the tape was used it backed up 30GB of data).
 
If we click on restore, and view the selection by media, neither of the tapes are listed.
Infact, only a couple of tapes are listed from recent jobs.
 
Has anyone got any ideas on this one?

Yes, I would modify the area in the restore selections where is states "Beginning backup date" to include the date you are trying to restore from.
 
Let me know if this is the issue.
