In order to restore the AD information you need to follow a different procedure than that required for a normal restore, check out :

How to perform a non-authoritative restore of the System State - http://seer.support.veritas.com/docs/236661.htm

Performing Authoritative Restores of the Active Directory to a Windows 2000-based domain controller. - http://seer.support.veritas.com/docs/235160.htm

Which of these is more relevant will depend on how your network is setup, and which information you need to restore, but unless you have more than one AD server it will be the Authoritative restore.

HI Krzysztof,

We apologize for the inconvenience caused because of the delayed response. Please let us know if your issue / problem is resolved so that we can mark this case as ‘assumed answered’
and move it to ‘answered threads’ pool. However, if the issues still persist then refer to the steps mentioned below:

Are you performing a redirected restore of the System State data? That's not supported. Else you can refer the technotes as mentioned by Keith in his reply to this post.

NOTE : If we do not receive your intimation within two business days, this post would be marked ‘assumed answered’ and would be moved to the ‘answered threads’ pool.
