DLO is a user-centric application which means an End User has to be logged in on the workstaion in question for the backup processes to run.
If you want to schedule XP backups that are more workstation-centric just install the remote agent for Windows on the workstaion(s) and run standard Backup Exec jobs instead of DLO ones.
Note DLO provides incremental PST backups, the ability for a user to restore their own data and segregation of the data by user so that if more than 1 user access a single workstation different data is backed up. The standard remote agent backup does not provide these functions but does give teh ability to backup teh workstaion when teh user is not logged in.
Also the remote agent for windows does not require a license if being used on XP Workstaions - but does need one if Vista is running.
