Update notification in Backup Exec --> 2015 is available

Hi there,

In my backup exec 2014 if i run liveupdate there is a liveupdate available called "backup exec 2015 available"
If i run this update backup exec 2015 is not installed, when i look in My Symantec there is no backup exec 2015 available.

Does anyone have an idea about this issue?

Backup Exec is never upgraded between versions via LiveUpdate. This is for patches and service packs only.

This is simply a notification. You need to download BE 15 off the link below and manually upgrade:

If you are on a current maintenance contract, then somebody in your organisation will get an email notification that BE 15 is available. He then needs to logon to his account in my.symantec.com and upgrade your licence to BE 15. Once that is done, you would be able to see BE 15 on FileConnect. Alternatively you can contact the Symantec Licencing department to get them to upgrade your licence
