Upgrade to Version 12

First is it worth the trouble to upgrade from version 11D to version 12?
 
Second, does the free upgrade Symantec is offering also allow me to use my 11D agents or would I have to purchase all new agents for the new version?

I don't think BE12 has any more problems than BE11d, so it's no more trouble, and in many cases less trouble.
You get the upgrade to BE12 if you have an active support contract. If you also have support on the agents and options, you will get upgrades for those too.
