Usinng NAS Drive as Secondary Backup Location

Hi all

I have a client who is currently using backup exec 12, and has a tape drive installed with full backup jobs going to the tape media.

What we want to achieve is to add a NAS drive and do daily incremental backups for each month.

I have tried to find a way of doing this but without any good results as so far I have only been able to get backup to disc folder option to create a standard backup file not v2i to which I can mount and extract the file I need.

I know I'm overlooking something really simple but I can't figure out what it is any help would be most welcome.

Thanks

BE does not create v2i files, only Ghost does that.

When you backup to disk, you can do the restore just like you would from tape.  You just have to select the right backup.  You don't have to mount the .bkf files to restore from them.
