Utility Partition Disappears

I occasionally have the utility partitions disappearing on two separate servers. Since these partitions are scheduled to be backed up, I get job failure notifications, although it seems like the other volumes do get backed up. The strange thing is that if I reboot the server, the utility partitions come back. There seems to be no rhyme or reason as to why they just vanish out of thin air!

We have a similar issue. Several servers, all the same make and model, and all with similar installs. On some the utility partition appears, on some it doesn't.
We opted not to backup the utility partition, as in the event of a disaster it is recreated as part of the initial server setup process.
