I get the above error message when trying to backup several VMs.
The error comes fro the first VM (only?)
BE Vmware agent is licensed and the VMWare Storage API seems to be licensed correctly also.
Is there anything else to be considered ?
I am using BE 2010R3 with all availables hotfixes applied

Hi Nicolas,
Check the TNs below:
http://www.symantec.com/docs/TECH135343
http://www.symantec.com/docs/TECH129572
http://www.symantec.com/docs/TECH204842
See if any of them are valid.
Thanks!

Hello Nicolas, Apart from the articles sent by Craig, could you also check if the first Virtual Machine contains any non ASCII character in its vmdk name? If yes then I'd request you to refer to the following: http://www.symantec.com/business/support/index?page=content&id=TECH208925
Also, I request you to re-confirm the licenses be refering to the following article: http://www.symantec.com/business/support/index?page=content&id=TECH148510

okay, the vmdk of the VM in question seems to be right "[SSD_Platte] LEONARDO/LEONARDO-000001.vmdk"
All vmdks seem okay except for ...
- some vmdk-names have whitespaces
- 1vmdk has a "&" in its name
