V-79-57344-65213 - Error. Cannot backup directory error. BE 12.5 with Excahnge 2007.

Ok everyone I have a strange one for ya.  I get the fllowing error everytime I try and backup Exchange:

V-79-57344-65213 - Error. Cannot backup directory ?Public Folder Database and its subdirectories.

I also get it more the mail store as well.

Let me give yo some info about my network layout here that might help.

I have a 2003 Small Business Server without excahnge installed on it but running Backup Exec with the excahnge agentand and teh tape drive.

I have a seperate Exchange 2007 server running on Windows 2008 and the remote agent.

I am only running standard backups of Exchange or trying to at least.

I am also running the excahnge management tools and the connector on the 2003 SBS. 

The only headway I have made is that if I install BE12.5 on teh Exchange server directly, I can backup to disk the Excahnge store and mailboxes. 

Could this be because of the SBS server?  I am upgrading it to full 2008 server in a few months.
