0xe000959a - An attempt to take a snapshot of a virtual machine failed because it was unable to quiesce an application.
Can any one pls guide me to resolve it ???

Is the VM running any of these applications - Active Directory, Exchange, SQL and/or Sharepoint ?
If yes:-
Is the Remote Agent installed inside the VM ? Do ensure the BE account has sufficient privileges to backup/restore this application. Also, do ensure the Application services are running and the application is online.
If no:-
Uncheck the Application GRT option from the backup job settings.

Its a VM level backup... VM is a Domain Controller.
BE account has all the required permissions.
Also disabled Application GRT but the error still continues.

Is the Remote Agent installed inside the VM ? Did you recently install / update VMware Tools on this VM ?
Are you able to manually create and delete a snapshot via the VI client (uncheck the memory option and check the quiesce option while creating the snapshot)
Is the time of the VM, ESX host and vCenter in sync ?

Yes it is... Its not a newly configured job...
Backup was happening till last week. suddenly this error has started...
