VSS & AOFO licensing

I have a question about Backup Exec Advanced Open File Option licensing. I am going to backup open files on MS Windows 2003 server with VSS software snap-shot only. Do I need buy and install the AOFO on this Server ? Does Backup Exec cooperate with VSS without AOFO ?

Hi Tomasz,

You will need to have the AOFO license if you plan on backing up open files with VSS. 

Without the license it will only backup the shadow copy components on windows 2003 servers.
