Veritas Backup Exe Tape Storage

Dear all,

I am installing a fresh copy of Veritas Backup Exe version 20.3. when trying to add new Tape Storage, it is not detecting my tape drive.

I have HP 1x8 G2 AUTOLDR connected to network. 

please help me.

Connect the tape drive directly to the BE Server.

Thank you for your reply. actually it is connected directly to the server. but the Veritas installed on VM no on the physical server.

I think you are using VMware right?

Do you present your tape library to VM?

If yes, do you tape library in Windows Device ManageR?

Iam using Hyper-V, but how can I present the tape to my VM

This is a limitation of loading BE in a VM.  You would not be able to access a physical tape drive.  This is not supported by eiher VMware or Hyper-V.
