Veritas Backup Exec v10d

I have a Certance Ultrium 2 SCSI sequential tape drive.
200 native/400 conpressed .
I runned a backup using windows server 2003 backup and when it runned out of space it just stoped and ejected the tape. I want to know if Backup Exec has a feature that will promp me when the tape is full so I can go and change it with another tape.

does veritas have a feature that will ask you to manually replace the tape with a new one when its full. anyone help

You should get a prompt to 'insert overwritable media' once the first tape fills up. If it doesn't pop up, go to the alerts screen and look for it. To have alerts pop up on the screen go to Tools | Options | Preferences and check the box next to 'Automatically display new alerts'.
