Veritas Console Crashes When Job Setup Selected

Client has veritas 9.1 with be4691RSP5_286923 installed. It is running on Win2K3 SP1 with a Remote Agent for Exchange 2000.

About a week ago the backupexec engine began to fail as soon as the backup started despite setting the service to restart hen it fails. I also cleared any and all alerts.
The scheduled jobs fail and trying to view the Job Hostroy of thiose failed jobs gives me the error "The job log for this job may not be generated."

Believing that that the job had outgrown the available media, I tried to go to Job Setup to reduce the job size, but when clicking Job setup, the whole Veritas window crashes.

Any tips on how to fix are appreciated.

Using BEUTIL, try running a repair on the BE database. See http://support.veritas.com/docs/265180

if that doesn't work, you could try a complete uninstall/boott/re-install and rebuild from scratch

that's allI can think of, sorry

Thanks for your response. The repair using BEUTIL duid not work.
I inherited this environment and there are no CDs to do a complete uninstalll.
I hate to break it to the boss, but I guess we're moving to 11d unless anyone else has some suggestions?
