Version 8.6 HP Autoloader Problem

Hi everybody,

problem with HP Autoloader in Version 8.6;
W2k Prof. SP4, Veritas 8.6
Autoloader and DLT Device in Device Manager;
Device disabled in w2k media; library license installed into BackupExec; but only the Quantum device is show in independent Devices;

where'S my problem.

Silly question first -

When you installed BackupExec did you select Library support as one of the options?

If I read your post correctly, you already selected robotic library support when installing BE 8.6 yes?

i fixed the problem !

but the effort was enormous;

only a new installtion of the OS fixed it;

i don't know how, but after a few reboots, the library was suucesfully detected !!!

That was going to be my next post. I had the same thing happen and also had to reinstall the OS. Its in one of the threads here under "drive appears incorrectly under standalone"
