Backing up a VMware ESXi 5.5 cluster with Backup Exec 2012 SP4. Yesterday I received the warning:
V-79-57344-38725 - One or more virtual disks contain volumes that do not support Granular Recovery Technology (GRT). Granular restores cannot be performed for these volumes
for one of the VMs. The strange thing is that today on the following run of that job the warning is gone all by its own. The machine has only a single virtual disk. Its VMware configuration hasn't been touched.
How is it possible that a volume stops supporting GRT for one day when it did support GRT the day before and again supports it the day after? Should I worry?

Hi,
It shouldn't...it's an "all-or-nothing" situation. Either it does, or doesn't support it.
Keep an eye on it, and if it happens again log a call with Symantec about this.
Thanks!
