What are the fileversions???

Hi,

Isn't it possible to get a complete list of what fileversions that belongs to which BackupExec "version" (Version, Hotfix and ServicePack)?

Which file is the right one to versioncheck?
Is it beserver.exe or bengine.exe or is it a combination of several files?

This should be possible to answer, as I hope that Veritas knows what fileversions they use

Hi,

The document which gets published for every patch/ service pak released also has a list of all the versions of the files which get updated.

The document lists the files updated for the media server and the remote server respectively.

After installation of the patch\ service pack all the listed files should have the new updated versions.

Hope this information helps.

From the answer given I guess that there is no existing list of all fileversions in all productversions.

Is it correct that Veritas doesn't keep such a list?

Hello,

Right, there is no such document giving all the file versions of all the product releases. However as described in the previous reply, every released patch, hotfix or SP gives the updated versions of the files. Eg. As the one given in SP4a in the link below:

http://support.veritas.com/docs/280008

Revert in case you have more questions on this.
