Why BE doesn't use both drives in my Auto-Loader?

Hi

I'm running Backup Exec 2010 R3 with HP MSL 4048 Auto Loader that contain 2x LTO 5 drives.

I created a restore job, the data is on 3 differnet LTO tapes, but BE doesnt seem to use both drives for the restore even when i choose "ALL DEVICES" in the restore properties.

I can however, run a backup job on one drive, and a restore job on another drive.

I have the Backup Exec Library Expansion Option installed.

Thank You.

Dori

This is by design

Once a Tape job starts, it will only continue on the same drive after a tape is swapped out, either on a Backup or a Restore job.  if all tapes required for a Restore job are mounted in the Library and a Scan or Inventory was done when they were loaded, the tapes should swap out automatically

(You can run two different jobs at the same time on the two drives)
