Win2K Server BU services stopping mssql$bkupexec service stop

Running BE 9.0 with SP2 installed. Problem is after a failed BU the services "Backup Exec Device & media", "Backup Exec Job Engine", "Backup Exec Server", and "mssql$bkupexec" services stop and cannot be restarted without reinstalling BE 9.0. A reset will not work. Any ideas. Checked for slammer and no go. I also have the lastest SP for 2K

- Please tell us the exact error message.
Meanwhile you may try the following.
Perform a repair install using the following technote.

You may then upgrade to Backup Exec 9.1. This is a free upgarde. Please do not upgrade if the repair install fails.
