another problem with encryption

Hello - we specifically upgraded to 11 to take advantage of the encryption option. Modified an existing job that has run successfully for months to encrypt the data. First time the job ran, got this error:

e0000f0f - A communications failure has occurred between the Backup Exec job engine and the remote agent when attempting to securely send encryption information.

The link provided in the job history prompts "No documents matched your search."

Removed the encryption key, and job runs fine.

what do I need to check?

It sounds as if you didn't upgrade the Backup Exec agent on the remote machine.

The remote agent is only able to send encrypted data if it's version 11d, not previous.

Could it be that?

I received the same msg .... and I'm using BE11 on w2k3 and the agent v11on linux box
