backup exec 2010

i am using backup exec 2010 on an exchange server.  it is requesting that i order a sql agent to backup ex10\bkupexec.  the only sql that i see is what was installed with backup exec 2010, do i need to purchase a sql agent?

You need to uncheck the EX10\BKUPEXEC resource which is the SQL instance from the Backup selection list. Backing up the BEDB.BAK file which is at the default location C:\Program Files\Symantec\Backup Exec\Data is enough to protect the Backup Exec database.

 So there is no real need for the  SQL agent license.
