backup exec 7.0 single server problem

Bob_B
Level 2
BE 7.0 was set up on an NT server by prior sys admin under his credentials. when attempting to run, BE challenges for his password, will not accept domain password. Since prior sys admin has moved on to the great data center in the sky asking him not an option. Short of a full uninstall/ reinstall is there any way to bypass this so that I can get onto the interface & plan backups? any help appreciated. Please e-mail response to Bob.Blakely@smr.tv

Thank you very much.

shut down the services, and change the logon credentials from the Services Applet.

I'd also suggest the free upgrade to v7.01.1616

It's actually the v7.2 download, but when you execute Setup do it this way

setup -fsetup701.ins

Read the install instructions carefully

Bob,

I would say if you have a support contract for upgrades, I would suggest going to version 8.6. Later versions of 7 and early version of 8 has issues. IMHO version 8.6 has been the most stable.
