backup exec catalog folder

Hello!!I have backup exec 11 and the catalog folder become really big.So i read that i can transfer my catalog folder to another disk.My question is about the files are already there can i simply copy paste them to the new folder?And the restore process is exactly the same or i have to put in every new restore the new location?

hi do you really want the catalog to be so big?
do you wan to have a maintenance on how long the catalog is to be maintain.
It is under tool-> option-> database maintenance
you can select the number of days to keep the catalog database.

You are still able to restore the backup even if they are not found in the catalog for older backup, you just need to catalog the tape media before restoration.
