Does the backup job fail immediately or approx how long does it take to fail (there is a difference of close to 2 hrs between those two alerts)....was there any alert which was not responded to in 15 mins...

Hi,

If the service fails, you can try the following:

1. Make sure your media server is fully updated, and that your RAWS agents have had these updates push-installed to them.

2. Check the server in question and make sure that any AV installed (if installed!) is perhaps not blocking the beremote.exe service. If so, put in an exclusion for this.

3. Uninstall the RAWS agent and then push-install it to the server again.

Thanks!

Make sure that your tape library/drive is on-line and is ready.  If the problem persists, try

1) pausing/unpausing the tape library/drive

2) run the HP LT&T tool against the tape library/drive.  Make sure that you select the write test and that all the BE services are stopped beforehand.

3) remove the tape library/drive and re-install it.

4) power-cycle both the media server and the tape library/drive

The easiest way around this is to check your AV and see if it is blocking the service *.exe. If it is, put in an exclusion and try again.

Thanks!

I would suggest that you  power-cycle both the tape library as well as the media server, and then run the LT&T utility to make sure that your tape library is functioning correctly.
