copy exchange backups from the last day to a different folder

HEllo,

i have to transmit my last exchange fullbackup(btd files) to a different location.
I wrote a smal xcopy script that does this, but when i run it the copy process is stalled at the "Mailbox Database.edb" file.
All the BE services are stopped during this copy.
What can cause this behavior?
Is there maybe another way to do this?

c/WINDOWS/system32/xcopy.exe /D:06-21-2009  /E /Y "M:\Backup\Exchange\Weekly\*" "M:\rsync_tmp\\"

thx

Why not run a Duplicate job of that set. You can create the job under Job Setup, and schedule it to duplicate that last job to a specific folder.

Craig's answer is the one I'd go with.  A duplicate job.

Hello,

a big thank you for your tip. This make live a lot easier.
One questions remains.
The Folder with the duplicate only conatains .bkf file unlike the original which contains .log file , the "Public Folder Database.edb" and stuff.

Is this OK and can I easily recover my exchange from these .bkf files?

Yep, when you backup to disk, it creates a standard *.bkf file. When you restore from this file, you will see you r Exchange IS, and this will restore all your files (*.edb, logs etc).
