BE2012 is server centirc whereas BE2010 and older versions are resource centric.

Main difference between BE 2010 and BE 2012 is with BE 2010 it had resouce centric approach & now with BE 2012 it has server centric approach

So best thing will be if you install it on test machine & then work with different option you will come to know difference & will get a hang over too
