disaster recovery problem

Recently, our office caught fire and our server was destroyed. It was running windows 2000 server with backup exec. Version 8.5 or 9 I cant remember exactly. I backed up to a Travan tape drive. I now have a new server with windows 2003 and backup exec 10.1. When I put in the old tapes to try to recover data, all of the tapes show as Unknown Media Is there any way to get this version of backup Exec to recognize the old data?

I tried that. It didn't work. The Inventory goes through the process but doesn't seem to render any results. Then when I run the catalog, I get the following error: Invalid Physical Volume Library Media Identifier
