edit server in backup exec 2012

i have two servers which is added is backup exec for backup, yesterday nigh i have swip the ip address between them,

now both server in backup exec are unable to take backup or commmucation with server

how can i update ip address in backup server ,,, with out restart

Make sure that DNS is updated correctly.
(Ping the servers, do you get the correct IP ?)

Did you reboot the servers after changing the IPaddresses ? If not, restart at least the Backup Exec Remote Agent service and try again.

What is the exact error message you receive ?

i can't restart the server it is most certical server ,error message is :-

I dont mean to restart the server, but only the Backup Exec Remote Agent SERVICE.

You need to delete the servers from the Backup and Restore tab and then add them in again

Hello Nishant,

    What is the error in the Job log with which the job fails??

Ideally changing the IP address should not fail the jobs if the IP is resolving the correct FQDN name.
