event id 7026 halfinch VRTS fails to load

I found an old post to this but without resolution. I am running Win2k3 SP1 with Veitias 9.1 and a Dell PowerVault 110TLTO2 Tape Drive. Have the latest firmware/drivers for the tape device.

How can I disable this driver from loading or fix the problem. When I open MSINO32, it indates the driver is not stated.

Hi,

To uninstall VRTS drivers. browse to "Program Files" > "Veritas" > "Backup Exec" > "NT" > "tapeinst.exe".


Choose the option to "uninstall and remove VRTS drivers from the system".

A reboot is necessary after uninstalling drivers
