Exchange jobs are stuck in the queue.  Odd thing is that two exchange servers are doing the same thing.. I hate to reboot backup server or exchange servers unless required.  Many other successful jobs on backup server.  Any help or direction appreciated.

problem with backup to disk volume. (the destination for the BTD jobs) Formatted and it resolved the issue.. that was the common denominator.  Thanks all for your help.

Are you backing up to a Disk or Dedup device? Does it have free space for the backup to start?

Backup to disk each job has its own btd folder.

...are their any pending alerts? Check this and report back...

Thanks!

no pending alerts.. it just stays at queued.  This is happening on 3 exchange servers.  Other jobs kick off while those are queued.  I think rebooting the servers helps, but I was hoping to find another way.

...open a command prompt on these servers in question, and run: vssadmin list writers. Check to see that all the writers are stable and running. If not, this explains why the reboot fixes the issue temporarily as they would be reset.

Also make sure that AOFO is not turned on in your job.

Thanks!

everything is stable and no error.  AOFO is not checked on any jobs.

Do you need any information or can you tell me where to turn for a resolution?  Thanks

Some jobs are stuck in QUE that are not exchange jobs.. but others are kicking off just fine.
