global excludes and differential backup problem

My global excludes are working fine for my full backups, if I look at the selection list in a full backup job, I can see all the exclusions without a problem. If I do the same for any of my differential backups, the excludes are missing. I'm trying to exclude folders like cookies, temp, temporary internet files and history. Just applied 9.1SP3 to the media server and reinstalled all remote agents. A sample of my exclude string would be \\*\*\**\local settings\temp*\*.* /SUBDIR /EXCLUDE
This would skip the temp and temporary internet files. Again, works in my full backup jobs but not the differential.

I went through all my jobs and reset the selection lists. Seems that there may have been some corruption created after the upgrade from 8.x to 9.1. I checked it, it's working and the backups take up much less space.
