install fails

Hey I am trying to install 10d, but the installation is looking for a sql 2000 sp 3a server.
I am running sql 2000 sp4 so the install tells me this is not a valid install of sql. What is the deal here? The local install fails as well without any meanful error message.

Installation is failing during the installation of msde?

Are you installing Backup exec in an existing instance of SQL or you are creating a new msde instance?

Dave -

Did you ever get this installed with SQL SP4? I have found that the Language Key in the registry gets corrupted.

Check HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\MSSQLServer\MSSQLServer\CurrentVersion\

Look for Language - The REG_DWORD should read 409 (Hex) if you are an english shop. Mine was corrupted with fffffff. After that,the install worked.
