Hi zaki,

Are you trying to connect to the server with the BE Service Account? If so, is it a member of your domain with at least Domain Admins rights?

If not, create the BESA as such, and use BEutility.exe to change the service account to use this. Check the TN below for further information:

http://www.symantec.com/business/support/index?page=content&id=TECH23689

Obviously your services need to be started up, so verify that too.

Thanks!

...if you have a domain, create a domain account with Domain Admins rights. Open up BEutility.exe and change the BESA account to this 1.

If you have to use the local admin account, change all the services to Local System Account and try starting them up.

Thanks!

The Backup Exec Device and Media Service could not start because the database recovery has failed.  Refer to the database recovery log for details.
