problem with configure notifications recipients

Hi,

I get an error when trying to add a recipient to recieve notification about the backup job.

This is the product data:

- Backup Exec 2010 R3

- Windows Server 2003 For SBS with sp2

- Microsoft Exchange 2003

when i go to Tools > Recipients > New > Person, I get this error:

at BackupExec.UI.BEDlgs.ConfigureRecipients()
   at BackupExec.UI.MainForm.a7(Command A_0)
   at BackupExec.UIFramework.CommandManager.a(Object A_0, EventArgs A_1)
   at System.Windows.Forms.Application.ThreadContext.System.Windows.Forms.UnsafeNativeMethods.IMsoComponent.FDoIdle(Int32 grfidlef)
at System.Windows.Forms.Application.ComponentManager.System.Windows.Forms.UnsafeNativeMethods.IMsoComponentManager.FPushMessageLoop(Int32 dwComponentID, Int32 reason, Int32 pvLoopData)
  at System.Windows.Forms.Application.ThreadContext.RunMessageLoopInner(Int32 reason, ApplicationContext context)
   at System.Windows.Forms.Application.ThreadContext.RunMessageLoop(Int32 reason, ApplicationContext context)
   at System.Windows.Forms.Application.Run(Form mainForm)
   at BackupExec.UI.MainForm.a(String[] A_0)
   at BackupExec.UI.MainForm.b(String[] A_0)

 I have tried several things:

1. first of all, i saw a similar error on another server with Windows Server 2008 and Exchange 2007.
the error looked different but atleast the first line was similar. i configured the regional options to be in hebrew on every tab and that solved it.
it did'nt solved it here.

2.I ran the Backup Exec Repair from Add\Remove Programs - Did'nt helped either.

Any other ideas?

Thank you :)

can you think of anything else?

it will be a problem for me to uninstall Backup Exec.

Besides, i have on the server .net framework 3.5 sp 1 and .net framework 3.0 sp2

so i don't know if that's relevent..

What can you try is to uninstall all .Net framework version from the server. Then reboot the server. Install .net framework till version 3.5 (not the SP1). Now check if you are getting the errors in Backup Exec.

I had seen one issue last time where SP1 of .Net 3.5 was breaking BE console.
