Did you mean:

"WARNING: (file) is a corrupt file. This file cannot verify."

I'm running backup exec 10d on a windows 2003 server and for some reason, I get the following error when attempting to backup a Quickbooks database file.

"WARNING: <filepath> is a corrupt file. This file cannot verify."

As far as I can tell, the file still backs up. I have yet to restore the file to find out if the backup is any good. I will give this a try today.

You can get this error if a database file that is open is backed up without using AOFO

Hmm, I checked this out and I do have AOFO enabled on the backup job. However, everything is greyed out under Open File Configuration except for Microsoft Volume Shadow Copy Service which is selected.

do you have an AOFO serial installed on the media server?

I just checked that out. All I see is a serial number for "Small Business Server Edition." I take it I don't have the needed license for AOFO?

Never used SBS version, so don't know if AOFO is included in the base serial or not.   Sounds like it is not, if the options are greyed out
