"loading Media" error

Hi All

Backup Exec 9.1 for Windows

All of a sudden the backup has started to hang on "loading media" it stays on this, the backup job is set to erase the tape first etc.

Ive found a way around this, if i go in manually and erase the tape first then run the job it runs ok, if not it hangs forever on "Loading Media" does this on any job i create.

Any Ideas ?

Any alerts? "Insert Overwriteable Media"?

Try setting the OPP of the media set down by one day (ie 13 rather than 14). If the job finishes after midnight, the extra day may be what is affecting things

I will try that later, the backup's do run overnight anyway as they tend to start at about 11pm and finish at 1 or 2am. I cleared the errors so will check. If it needs another tape it generally pops up and says so, but will re run a test tonight and see in case the alert is not been displayed for some reason.

It seems that it cant erase the tape first maybe for some reason....
