remote agent problem!!!

remote agent is present on remote server but backup exec server cannot initialize it. I reinstalled remote agent several times and also used the document Id#239756 but none of them work. We are using backup exec version 8.6. Any other suggestion? Thanks.

If you browse to the remote server in the Backup Selections pane, can you open the machine and or drives?

Can you ping both ways by both IP address and NetBIOS name?
