restore after clean install

hi, i have recently did a clean install of server due to crash. now i want to restore a file from 4weeks back using BE. when i go into restore, i can see only backups which i did after clean install. is there anyway to restore the file from 4weeks. i have the tape htough. thanks

Run "Catelog Media" on the tape you want to restore. That will add it to the selections you can restore from.

Put the media in your drive.

Inventory the drive. This will show the media in the drive.

Catalog the media. This will read the catalog on the media, so BE knows what files are stored on it.

Create your restore job, and the media should appear in the selection list. There may be a date filter by default on your restore selection list, so don't forget to modify that if needed.
