Is there a way today...to backup Virtual Server 2005 RC2 guest instances without powering down these guests? (Yes I realize I can back them up through the guest OS as any other server, but we have a Business
Continuity need to reduce the downtime in the case of major outages.)
The only way we are able to do today is to take an outage weekly and perform the backups of the virtual server guest files (.vhd, etc..) The other days of the week we do full backups remotely through each guest's OS instance (as any other server) to the virtual server host's attached tape drive.
Does Backup Exec have a product version \ option that would help with allowing online Virtual server file backups so we can minimize downtime?
