Hello forum users. One of our client willing to go with the SFHA/DR(latest version which is currently 6.0.2) and rhel5 licensed. Both SFHA 6.0.2 and rhel5 can go with each other as per the following details got from the below link. Any further thing which I should consider between these two (SFHA/DR + rhel5) when I go with these two ?

Please Note my Client is also willing to go with rhel5 with update 8

You should read the release notes https://d1mj3xqaoh14j0.cloudfront.net/public/documents/sfha/6.0.2/linux/productguides/pdf/sfha_notes...

In particular sections:

Important release information
System requirements
Known issues
Software limitations
For instance if you look at "Important release information" then this has link http://www.symantec.com/docs/TECH164885 (Late-Breaking News link) which says:

Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6 (RHEL) Update 3 is not compatible with Storage Foundation and High Availability Solutions 6.0 & 6.0RP1 releases due to symbol changes used within the new kernel. Storage Foundation and High Availability Solutions 6.0.1 & 6.0.2 include support for Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6 update 3 (RHEL 6.3).

Note: A compatibility issue has been discovered on Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6 update 3 running a later kernel (2.6.32-279.11.1.el6.x86_64) with Storage Foundation and High Availability Solutions 6.0.1 & 6.0.2. The symptom is that the VxFS component cannot be loaded or used. Symantec are currently investigating.

So you are ok with update 8 with regards to "Late-Breaking News" link, but you should still check the other sections I have mentioned above.
