Discovery Accelerator 9.0.3 upgrade to 10.0.1 with server migration

Hello all,

I have a question, which upgrade path to take.

Current setup has EV 9.0.3 environment with DA 9.0.3 running on W2K8 (not R2), 64-bit

Target environment has EV 10.0.1 and EV will be migrated via the Server Settings Migration tool. How to migrate and upgrade DA in this case?

I know that EV 10 services will detect on startup that upgrade is required for EV databases and upgrade them on new servers. How about DA? Setup a fresh installation of DA 10.0.1 and point it to configuration database of 9.0.3 and it will upgrade it?

You should move DA 9.0.3 to the new server (Win2008 R2) and than upgrade to 10.0.1

In our case this means we need to replace the DA server with new W2K8 R2 9.0.3 DA server within existing EV 9.0.3 domain using the Server Settings Migration tool (for EV) and technote suggested (for DA), perform in-place upgrade of DA to 10.0.1 and then migrate rest of the servers to EV 10.0.1 using the Server Settings Migration tool and finally upgrade EV to 10.0.1 on the DA server in-place?
