Hi,
Do you allow your users to archive manually?
Check the desktop policy, tab Options. Select Store in Vault (both). If you have to select them (ie they are not selected now), sync your users to get them the new policy
When already set, users can click the Store in Vault icon.
Take in account how your shortcuts are made. check properties of the mbx stores, tab general, check Remove Safety copies. when allowing manual archiving, best option is to set it to Immediately after archive.
That should do it

I think you need to specify what exactly you want to do.
This could result in:
- Users pressing "Store in Vault" buttons manually
- Users moving items to Virtual Vault manually
- You right clicking on the Exchange Archiving Task, and selecting "Run Now"
and probably some more options ;)
