Can I add a text filter for a new file type to Enterprise Vault

I have a new file type that I would like to ingest into Enterprise Vault.  I would like to have Enterprise Vault call a new custom text filter to extract the text from the file when it goes to index the file.  Is it possible to register a text filter with EV somehow?

The file types that EV attempts to convert and then index are all based on the stellan outside/in conversion technology by Oracle, i think EV will still try and convert/index the item regardless of whether its on that list or not (however i'm not entirely sure about that), so if it is text in some form or another it should be able to handle it....i think

Thats interesting about Stellan.  I will check that out to see if they have a way to add a filter.
