We are upgrading from 2007 SP6 to EV9 SP2. We intend to pause at EV8 SP5 for a couple of weeks to bed it in, and was going to upgrade to Discovery Accelerator 8 SP5. This would then need to be upgraded to 9 as well in the coming weeks. According to the compatibility guide, DA9 SP2 is compatible with EV8 backend. Is there any reason why I should go direct to DA9 and skip DA8 altogether? Iwould of course roll out the DA9 client in the first place.
Thanks,

From the compatibility guide (p79) it looks like I can (see below). So if I upgrade backend to EV8SP5, DA to 9, and sit with that for a few weeks there should be no problems that you know of?
"You can upgrade to Discovery Accelerator 9.0.2 from Discovery Accelerator
2007 SP6, 8.0 SP5, 9.0, or 9.0.1 only."

According to the published documentation on upgrade paths, the only path to v9sp2 is v8sp5...

so you're stuck with going to 8 first then upgrading to 9. Now, whether there is any benefit in waiting between upgrades is a good question. I don't see any value in waiting, especially since you'd have to send out the client updates as well.
